TODAY IS SOMEDAY

I am a fountain of knowledge – useless, weird, obscure knowledge that no one else but me seems to pick up.  For some strange reason, my brain is just filled with these morsels.  I spout them off at random moments in a conversation, sometimes leaving my conversational companion to stare at me.  They are probably saying, “Really?  Do I care?”  But there is one person for sure who does care.  She even has a tab in a notebook labeled, “HEATHER”.  Can you believe that?  Someone is actually documenting my crazy stream of consciousness.  I have had a little purple notebook for a couple of years in which I have written down all of my blog ideas – I even bought a “Blogs for Dummy’s” book full of crazy codes and computerese that is definitely way over my head.  I kept telling everyone I was going to start my blog and, well, just never did.  (I did, however, finally set up my Etsy shop this summer which was pretty exciting and a step into the online world – it’s kind of scary out here on the super highway!)

For the past 4 months, I have had the pleasure of office-ing next to a fantastic person.  I can’t really remember when I first started spewing my randomness at her…probably because I feel like I have known her for 4 lifetimes, not only 4 measly months.  It first started with her writing things down on sticky notes – restaurants, festivals, flies, crafts, news stories, squirrels…seriously, you name it, I can talk about it.  Then it progressed to me getting a sticky tab in her notebook – I talk so much that I need a section in a notebook. This whole time, sticky notes through notebook, she encouraged me to start a blog. I always said, “I know, I know, that’s the plan…someday.  Someday I will do it”.  Well, today is someday.  Soon, I sadly will not be able to share my daily crazy anecdote(s) with her because we will no longer be working at the same company (which is so, so sad to say).

So here is to Beth – CHEERS!  Here is my love letter to everyone out there to say, Let’s Start a Revolution (or a ReBeelution, rather). Let’s get back down to what really matters in life – let’s rediscover the old arts - the old way of life and make it THE way of life – let’s discover a truly happy and peaceful coexistence with everyone and everything around us.  Let’s do something for ourselves and in turn, one another.
