The countdown has begun! (Well, I have been counting down for 3 months now but that’s a whole other story…) We are just 4 days away from Thanksgiving and people all over North America – I have recently learned that Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving as well – are shopping at the market, carefully preparing pie dough and checking things off of their well-planned Turkey Day Lists. (Holidays are a time when even non-list makers are forced to put pen to paper).
I checked the following off of my list(s) this weekend:
- To Market, to Market to buy a fat…Turkey – and all the other fun things!
- Pulled out linens and dishes
- Bought a few extras at Crate & Barrel and The Container Store
- Cleaned out the fridge
- Put up Christmas lights on the outside of the house with Scott (don’t worry, they will not be turned on until Friday!)
Tonight I will start setting my table and I will make the concentrate for the delicious drink I will be making. Tune in tomorrow for a step-by-step process on how to make a Cranberry-Lime Shrub Sparkler and on Tuesday night, I will treat you to my Butternut Squash Soup recipe. You won’t want to miss either!
